MAP MATH - TESTING THIS WEEK - PLEASE SIGN UP FOR A TIME

During the week of October 19-23, your student will be taking the Math Portion of the MAP test. Thank you to those who have already signed up for a time. If your student is not signed up, we ask that you sign up for ONE time slot. Please choose a time, if possible, when a parent is available to assist with any challenges the student may encounter.

REMOTE MAP TESTING TROUBLESHOOTING - iPAD

Disable Pop-up Blocker
  • Settings>Safari>Block Pop-ups
  • If the slider is green, turn it off by swiping to the left
Set Screen Resolution
  • Settings>Safari>Request Desktop Website
  • If the slider is green, turn it off by swiping to the left
Receiving the "Oops, where's my testing window?" error
  • Check to make sure that pop-up blockers are disabled and screen resolution is set
  • Force Quit the Safari app (Close the app completely) 
  • Reopen Safari and go to https://test.mapnwea.org:443 to login to the test

Still Unable to load the test in Safari?

Safari is the recommended option by NWEA for remote testing, but we understand that it is not working for everyone. If you have tried the steps above and still cannot get in:

  1. Close all iPad apps
  2. Open Self Service and Install the NWEA app
  3. Use the login information provided in Schoology

I Signed Up to Test - What is next?

Additional information will come to you through Schoology. You have been added to a Schoology group for your testing date and time. 

Log in to Schoology during your testing window and look for an updated from MAP Testing: test name (test date, test time). There you will find the log in information for your test.

Digital Academy Remote Testing

Students can take the MAP Test using a school-issued iPad or home desktop or laptop computer .

Using the school-issued iPad

Please make sure the iPad is ready for testing at least 2 days prior to your testing time:

  • Please check that the iPad iOS is up to date. The iPad should be at 14.1 or greater.
    • Go to Settings>General>Software Update
  • It is recommended that you use SAFARI to access the testing site. Please be sure that pop-up blocks are disabled in Safari before testing
    • Settings>Safari>Block Pop-ups
    • If the slider is green, turn it off by swiping to the left
  • Make sure the iPad screen resolution is set appropriately for the tes
    • Settings>Safari>Request Desktop Website
    • If the slider is green, turn it off by swiping to the left

In SAFARI go to https://check.nwea.org/ to verify that your device is ready to go

In SAFARI sign in to the Practice Test and make sure you can navigate through the test: https://practice.mapnwea.org/ (username and password: grow)

Using a home Desktop or Laptop

To use a home device for testing, the device must meet the testing technical requirements. We are not able to provide technical support for your home device, so it is important that you are able to check the compatibility of your device ahead of time using the tools below.

  • The following browsers will support the MAP test

    • Chrome 65 or higher

    • Firefox 64 or higher

    • Safari 11 or higher

    • Edge 79 or higher

Check your device configuration at https://check.nwea.org/. If errors are detected, refer to the Common Solutions Document-Appendix A located below.
