Black Hawk Blast
Help Us Raise $10,000!
Thursday, October 7, 2021 (rain date Oct. 11)
The Black Hawk Blast is our school’s one big fundraiser for the year! We are going to continue using our successful donation campaign again this year. Once again, the end of the fundraising time will culminate in a school-wide celebration – the Black Hawk BLAST!
Why do we need to fundraise?
It’s all for the kids! The Black Hawk Booster Club helps BHMS raise money to cover costs that are not otherwise in the budget. Examples include:
Additional learning and enrichment opportunities, including in-school events and field trips
Equipment such as a new scoreboard for the gymnasium and a water bottle filling station
Recognition and celebration events for students (Panther Pride and Presidential Academic Award)
WEB Program (Where Everybody Belongs)
*Use of the funds will be determined and prioritized by the BHMS Booster Club.
How will this year’s fundraiser work?
It will be easy! Students simply ask family and friends to make a tax-deductible donation to our school.
Donations may be made online between now and October 5. Donate today at https://BlackHawkBoosterClub.betterworld.org/campaigns/BlackHawkBlast
In-person turn in dates where students can turn in donations before school are
Tuesday September 28 , Wednesday 29, Monday October 4, and Tuesday October 5.
Donations may also be made by check. Checks should be made out to BHMS Booster Club and recorded on the attached donation log. Checks and donation logs must be turned in by October 5, 2021.
Black Hawk Booster Club is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization so all donations are tax-deductible! Your cancelled check or online confirmation is your receipt of your donation. And don’t forget to check with your employer about a corporate matching gift program – many companies will match donations made to schools by their employees!
What about the “fun” in fundraiser?
The student fundraiser will culminate during the Black Hawk BLAST and Panther Rally - a school-wide celebration at Black Hawk Middle School on October 7. The BLAST will be a fun filled day of collaborative games, activities, and school spirit! Our goal is $10,000. The Panther Time classes in each grade level that raise the most funds will be awarded a kickball game and popsicles with Principal Kusch, Vice Principal Williams and their Panther Time teacher!
