Panther Pause Newsletter: March 27, 2020

Hello Black Hawk Middle School Parents /Guardians, Staff and Students,

I hope this message finds you well.  At Black Hawk, we are prepared to implement distance learning beginning this Monday, March 30, 2020.  All learning tasks and assignments will be posted on Schoology by 9:30 A.M. each school day. We are very excited to have the opportunity to reestablish positive relationships with our students and parents/guardians.  The Panther Time teachers will be making a connection with their students next week. The staff have been working very hard to provide the best possible distance learning experience for all students.

During this time, Black Hawk Middle School will continue to be closed until further notice.  At this time the preferred method to communicate between you and any staff member at Black Hawk is through email or Schoology.  If there is anything you need to ensure the success of distance learning for your child, please let us know.

We want to make sure that all students understand how to register their attendance each school day during the Distance Learning period.   Please review the following attendance procedures with your child prior to Monday morning.

1.       Teachers will post their assignments / lessons by 9:30 A.M. each school day.

2.       Students login to Schoology and check their courses every day.

3.       To register as IN ATTENDANCE, students need to answer the DAILY CHECK IN question that will be posted      in your Panther Time (Homeroom) Course by 3:00 P.M. daily.

Students, if you have any questions about how to be sure you are IN ATTENDANCE, please contact your Panther Time Teacher.  Thank you for your patience and support as we navigate through Distance Learning.

Take Care,

Richard Wendorff

Principal, Black Hawk Middle School
