Yearbooks

We are still planning to distribute Yearbooks with the Locker Item Pick-up on June 2 and 3rd. If the shipment is delayed, we will get in touch with all those who have ordered with the alternate plan.

Missed your chance to order a Yearbook? We have less than 30 copies still available on a first-come-first-serve basis through FeePay (under Activities, search for “19-20 BHMS Yearbook”). You must order through FeePay, we cannot take orders/payment at the school. BEFORE you order, check with Ms. Amend to see if you are already on the list!

Yearbook Signing: SOCIALLY DISTANCED EDITION

We are excited to announce that the BHMS yearbook signing tradition is alive and it’s fully digital to suit our socially distanced students.

Jostens has just launched the new Yearbook Digital Signing Pages, that gives every student the chance to create virtual signing pages, invite their friends to leave messages, and print out the final pages to keep with the yearbook as a permanent keepsake. This is free for every student whether they purchased a yearbook or not. Register for an account at yearbook signing.jostens.com

8th Grade Choir

8th Grade Choir families, please check your child’s Choir Schoology page for our annual 8th grade choir slideshow.  Typically, this slideshow is played at the concert while they sing.  Thursday, May 2, would have been our final concert together, in honor of that concert, please enjoy the final slideshow.

Family Survey (formerly the Parent Survey)

This annual Family Survey (formerly the Parent Survey) is designed for you to respond and provide input about your student's experience at BHMS.  It encompasses a wide range of areas that we feel are very important to gather valuable information which will be used for future planning. This year there are additional questions related to Distance Learning. Thank you for your honest input as we navigate this new reality.

We appreciate you taking the time to complete this. https://bhms.district196.org/families/family-survey

New From The Nurse

Immunizations and Sports Physicals

Minnesota state law requires each student entering 7th grade in the 2020-21 school year to update their immunizations. Most students will need these two new vaccinations before 7th grade:

  • Tetanus/pertussis booster (Tdap)

  • Meningitis (meningococcal)

Please schedule a doctor's appointment to update immunizations before your student enters 7th grade. You may also complete a sports physical at this time if your child will be participating in a school sport.  Most clinics are continuing to provide well-child check ups, sports physicals and immunizations, and are taking precautions to ensure the safety of you and your family during your visit. If you have any questions, I encourage you to reach out to your specific health care provider.

If you are unsure of what immunization dates are on file at school, this information can be found through your Parent Portal account online. Call or email the school nurse, Molly McQuown, if you have any additional questions.
