Black Hawk's first ever Science Olympiad is off to a great start! We have two teams of 15 students preparing for our first competition that will be taking place at the University of Minnesota on Saturday, January 4. Students have been busy building cars, planes, rockets and more, as well as studying and gathering information about fossils, birds, anatomy, food science, diseases, genetics, and many more topics. Our teams will also compete in a regional competition on Saturday, February 8, and a state competition on Saturday, April 4. Special thanks to our high school student volunteers who have been helping our two teams get started and get prepared for our competitions!
December’s Panther Time theme is Courge. There will be a variety of activities and discussion around this theme during Panther Time. Panther Time is an integral part of our school day and instrumental in providing a very positive and supportive school environment.
