What's Happening at BHMS?

Important! Last day of school!

All grade levels will be participating in fun, off-site activities on Wednesday, June 7, the last day of school. Please make sure your student is here on time that day and refrain from picking them up early.

Yearbooks

Students who ordered a yearbook will receive them the last day of school. We have a small supply of yearbooks to sell at school. They will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Yearbooks are $40. Payment can be made in cash or with a check made out to Black Hawk Middle School. See Ms. Powell in the main office with questions.

Grades and report cards

Trimester 3 grades will be posted on Infinite Campus by Friday, June 9. More information can be found on the Black Hawk website at https://bhms.district196.org/families/family-resources/report-cards

Summer office hours and back to school

Should you need to reach us at Black Hawk Middle School this summer, our office will be open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.  We will be closed the week of July 4.

Not coming back to BHMS in the fall? Are you leaving the district? Please return: iPad, brick and cord and Hot Spot on the last day of school. Have a great summer!

Summer band for incoming 6th graders

Black Hawk will host band classes July 10-20 to help students work on instrument-specific tips and technique. Sign up using the links below.

Eastview cross country meeting

The Eastview Girls and Boys Cross Country Teams will have an informational meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, June 5, at Eastview High School. Summer training and fall season information will be discussed. Come get information on this fun team with great student athletes. Meet at Eastview's West doors.

Lightning Speech and Debate Seminar

The Lightning Speech and Debate Seminar is a one-day opportunity for students entering grades 6-9 this fall to explore speech and debate opportunities at the high school level. The seminar is from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, at Eastview High School. No previous experience is required. The seminar will be led by Eastview's most experienced speech and debate coaches.
